2.Product characteristic

  1. Ultra-long-distance transmission (1 km without obstacles) (low power consumption)

3. Hardware product functions

1). Provide RJ45 network port, 10M/100M Ethernet adaptive, communication protocol is Modbus TCP protocol, provide RS-485 interface, communication protocol is Modbus RTU

2). RJ45 network port:

3). RS-485 interface:

A2 B2 interface: Uplink communication interface, the Modbus RTU protocol, the protocol point table is the same as the TCP protocol of the RJ45 network port.

The communication parameters are as follows:

baud rate 9600 (could be modified), data bit 8, stop bit 1, no parity. Modbus slave address is 1. A B interface: used for downlink collection of 485 thermostats (only effective when used as a 485 thermostat gateway). When using this port, only needed to be connected to the 485 bus of the on-site thermostat, The gateway will poll and collect data according to the address of the thermostat.

Communication parameters: consistent with the thermostat

4). TYPE-C interface

The gateway provides one USB TYPE-C interface, which can be used for firmware upgrade and communication. Connection method:use the TYPE-C data cable connected to the computer for communication with the gateway. used serial port communication, use the Modbus RTU protocol, and the protocol point table is the same as the TCP protocol of the RJ45 network port.

The communication parameters : baud rate 9600, data bit 8, stop bit 1, no parity, Modbus slave address 1.

5). RF antenna interface

The RF antenna is installed by the bolt butt joint. When installing, the user needs to connect the antenna bolt to the antenna interface of the gateway and tighten the bolt. If the bolt is not tightened or loose, it will affect the LoRa signal strength.

4. Software Product Functions

  • The LoRa wireless RF port is transparently transmitted by the Modbus RTU protocol, as the Modbus master station;
  • The communication protocol of the LAN network cable is Modbus TCP protocol, used as the client;
